No matter what the situation is…close your eyes and think of all the things you could be grateful for in your life right now. – Deepak Chopra

How I found Feng Shui

I’m obsessed with holistic health, most likely because I was sick my entire childhood until I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease in high school (read that story below). After college I moved to New York City where I worked in the fast paced, high stress world of television booking and producing celebrities (read: even more demanding).

At 29 my first long time relationship ended and I moved into my first solo apartment on the edgeofCentral Park West near Lincoln Center. It was my dream apartment and I filled it with happy momentos and painted the walls pink. It was, as I called it, my peace haven. New York City is yang energy and my peace haven was the yin in my life.

I found myself entangled in a relationship too soon after my last break up. That lasted 3 years too long. The breakup was messy and at the end of it my space with disgusting, my furniture ruined, and I had no idea who I was. My space was a literal mirror of what my life looked like. And that’s when I turned to Feng Shui.

I bought a book and changed every inch of my apartment. I threw out old clothes that held toxic energy of dates passed, bought new pink bedding, got rid of my furniture, my plates, and started over designing my space according to the principles of Feng Shui. With every new change I made, I also strengthened my vision of what I wanted out of life.

And everything shifted.

In one year, I landed my dream job at the famed 30 Rockefeller Plaza building making enough money where I felt completely abundant. I went to Miami, Lake Como, Turks and Caicos, I met the love of my life, I got married, and I got pregnant. It was everything I thought about as I was feng shui’ing my apartment

Something else happened. I started listening to my intuition and to the signs the universe was sending for the first time ever. I moved out of New York City ( I never thought I’d leave) to Atlanta and went deeper into Feng Shui.

I am not what happened to me, I am what I choose to become – C.G. Jung

Around 6 years old I developed a stomach pain that didn’t go away until I was 16 years old. During that time I stopped growing, I became malnourished, my stomach was bloated, and my skin was ashy grey. This was before gluten free became mainstream and Celiac was the number one misdiagnosed disease. I spent years visiting doctors who misdiagnosed me and prescribed everything from protein powder to eating more grains like whole wheat bread!

The day before I went to the hospital via ambulance I closed my eyes and hoped I wouldn’t wake up. Not in a morbid kind of way, but in a ‘I need relief’ kind of way. When I was finally diagnosed I weighed 59 lbs and was 16 years old. Finding out I had Celiac Disease was the answer to my prayers. I finally started healing by adhering to a strict gluten free diet. In the first 3 months of my new life I gained 60 lbs by eating a pound of potatoes and a pound of bacon every evening for dinner.

By the time I reached my twenties I was vegan, I ate an all raw diet, I drank green juice, I body brushed, used a tongue scraper, and started yoga. In my thirties I studied Ayurveda, used crystals, had acupuncture, deep tissue massage, and cupping. Along the way I shared my discoveries with friends and family and even helped launched friends on their own holistic health paths.

Everything I’ve gone through has led me on this path to connect and share my wisdom with you.

As an empath I am passionate about listening and helping people by sharing Feng Shui and my holistic health knowledge with others.
